Internships
8-Week Aquaculture Internship
Dive Into Aquaculture. Grow Skills. Make Waves.
Our 8-week internship at Hold Fast Oyster Company offers a deep dive into the fast-paced, hands-on world of oyster farming on the North Carolina coast. Interns will work alongside our crew in Sneads Ferry, gaining real-world experience in sustainable aquaculture while building the knowledge, confidence, and sea legs needed for a future in the blue economy.
You’ll do more than just observe—you’ll be in the thick of it. From planting and harvesting oysters to maintaining gear and learning the ins and outs of farm operations, you’ll be fully immersed in what it takes to grow premium southern oysters with intention and care.
